suricata-update is not ready to be used with python3.
I consider this a severe bug in 2018 :)
One example:
$ suricata-update -D /tmp/supdate enable-source et/pro 23/7/2018 -- 14:14:34 - <Warning> -- No suricata application binary found on path. 23/7/2018 -- 14:14:34 - <Info> -- Using default Suricata version of 4.0.0 The source et/pro requires a subscription.
